Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

  • Responsible to take part in routine daily inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures and to keep record in service log book. To report any defects, problems or occurrences that might affect safety either directly or Imaging Manager or Senior Radiographer.
  • Responsible for general cleanliness, tidiness and safety of the Department, with specific responsibility for his/her own work area and to familiarize him/herself with current infection control procedures.
  • Responsible to check the exam order list at the start of the day and perform necessary preparation for the examination.
  • Responsible to verify the patient and match the exam order before performing the examination, before sending to PACS and before archiving onto CD/DVD medium.
  • Responsible to follow radiation safety standards for the protection of health workers, the general public and patients against the dangers of ionizing radiation in relation to medical exposure.
  • Responsible to maintain high standard of Radiography and quality service for patients by ensuring that every patient is treated in terms of courtesy, compassion, efficiency and confidentially and to input informative technical note on PACS as directed by Imaging Manager.
  • Responsible to practice all radiographic and imaging procedures by the Standard Operating Procedure and follow directions of Imaging Manager, Consultant Radiologist, Clinical Specialist and more experienced staff.
  • Responsible to ensure that scanned studies on PACS are ready for reporting and archived CD/DVD media are ready for dispatch to patient and inform Senior Radiographer or Imaging Manager if there is any problem with PACS.
  • Responsible to keep up-to-date with current techniques and developments in Radiographic and imaging procedures, to take part in in-service training as required and to actively participate in Continued Professional Development.
  • Responsible to maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Responsible to input in stock ledger for the materials used in specific examination.
  • Responsible to carry out other duties as directed by Imaging Manager, Clinical Specialist or Senior Radiographer in area where working.

Job Requirements

- B.P.Sc (Radiography) or B.Med.Tech(Medical Imaging) or higher

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technicl journals and legal documents

- Abiligy to respnd to common requires or complaints from customers.
