Role Title                             : Regional Retail Manager         

Reporting to                       : Retail Business Head

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To conducts deep-dive analysis on sales performance data across all distribution channels and reports on business insights to management to enable data-driven decisions on our channel partner strategy.

 

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Sales & Distribution Analytics

  • Collect and analyze individual store sales performance data for all channels – Ooredoo Owned Stores (COCO), Franchises (FOFO), Village Kiosks (VK) and Rural Village Kiosks (RVK)
  • Review sales analytics to collaboratively develop action planning to increase sales performance across the entire retail channel for assigned region
  • Oversee commission calculations, promoter salary /incentive payments and approval process for all direct channels (FOFO, VK, RVK) in coordination with Finance and Senior Management
  • Conduct commission/salary forecasting for upcoming month make necessary arrangements for next payment

Partnership Management and Communications

  • Facilitate approval process for signing on new business partners
  • Prepare new agreements or contract extensions with partners in coordination with Legal department and coordinate with senior management for timely approval
  • Engage in daily communication with Agency responsible for promoters to ensure sales are driven from both agency and retail side
  • Issue official communication letters to partners on important matters such as changes to commission schemes or warnings for misconduct (to individual partners)
  • Report instances of misuse/fraud to management and communicate decision (e.g. withholding commission)

Retail Sales Operations and Strategy

  • Cascade customer feedback from Customer Experience back to regional teams and devise action plan to resolve issues and improve customer service
  • Support upcoming S&D projects by acting as a liaison for partners, assisting with internal procurement processes (PR/PO) and budgeting and expense calculations
  • Liaise with retail channel teams on deployment of GO Campus promotors and monitor daily achievements

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Conduct weekly market visits and review regional audit reports to assess brand compliance and SOP compliance and verify that commission payments accurately reflect regional team reports
  • Create comprehensive market visit reporting guidelines to ensure all audit touchpoints performed by regional team covers necessary aspects of sales and products
  • Monitor and validate performance of S&D projects such as Go Campus and RVK to ensure reports to management accurately reflect on-the-ground sales achievements

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6 – 8 years’ work experience in retail, FMCG or telecommunications industry
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a managerial-level sales analytics role in telecoms company
  • Demonstrated proficiency in sales and distribution analytics, monitoring and reporting
  • Proven track record of delivering detailed analysis and reporting to inform business planning and enable data-driving decision making
  • Experience translating data into strategic initiatives and cascading action plans
  • Excellent communication skills; able to lead effective negotiations with channel partners and agencies to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Basic understanding of telecom industry, key technologies, market trends and dynamics
