Position Purpose

  • The Regional sales head within the Onepay Business functions role it to ensure that Onepay achieves its customer/user acquisition targets on an on-going basis.
  • Responsible for acquiring, onboarding and building relationships and supporting Onepay User, Business Partners – Agents, Merchants, Billers etc.
  • Work with the product marketing teams to develop and craft unique acquisition business propositions in specific segments and locations within Myanmar.
  • In conjunction with marketing communications and sales team develop an efficient GTM plan.
  • Create accurate sales forecasts to ensure high accuracy in customer acquisition projections and ROI.
  • Risk management of projects, ‘sales’ portfolios and campaigns; should any activity fail to perform as expected remedial action must be taken immediately along with escalation to the HOD and CCO.
  • Responsible for regular reviews, updates and strategies sharing with internal team to best aligned with the overall project vision scope
  • The role is responsible to reinforce Onepay’s efforts of exploring new business opportunities and using analytics to drive Partner sales growth, increase Partner loyalty and improve the Partner & customer experience.
  • The Regional sales head will help identify, acquire and onboard partners – strategic merchants & billers to small businesses to deliver significant growth opportunities for Onepay’s digital business. 
  • The Regional sales head is also responsible for continuously surveying the market for newest technologies and trends around Merchant services, driving the incubation of ideas, determining technologies to implement, evangelizing solutions, creating proof of concepts, piloting and establishing solutions in partnership with Partners.

Key Result Areas

  • Monitor acquisition performance on a daily basis to ensure that all forecasts are being met
  • Onboarding and engaging User, offline and online Business Partners
  • Maintaining long term relationship with existing partners and the potentials
  • Delivering increased sales and engagement across Business Partners – Agents, Merchants, Billers etc.
  • Analyze Business Partner Performance to generate insights to improve user acquisition, business & partner performance.
  • Create a personal and relevant Partner & Customer experience using Human Centered Design and Agile methodologies
  • Groom and provide Training to team related to Business and Technical aspects, Motivate teams’ involvement & progress and control attrition

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Responsible to achieve daily, monthly and yearly targets of Sales & Acquisition
  • Develop strategy to acquire Users & different partners segments as business opportunities to achieve targets;
  • Identify events and opportunities and propose campaigns/projects congruent with Onepay’s direction supporting further customer acquisition.
  • Identify, build relationships/partnerships with merchant & biller partners and manage their performance and contribution to building the Onepay partner ecosystem
  • Engage in partner acquisition through developing necessary technical & commercial knowledge, communication transparency, winning spirit, fighting resilience and performance acknowledgement;
  • Analyze partner needs and propose partner related initiatives - partner pricing & acquisition incentive framework
  • Be accountable for partner’s full lifecycle - pitching, signing, onboarding and account management
  • Keep abreast of the market and industry situation and competitor activity in order to revise and develop strategies to meet market changes and partners’ requirements;
  • Understand market trends to recommend process improvements as well as cost control.
  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of all Onepay products and services
  • Work with other team in Onepay to align on a strong value proposition

  • Promote: Onepay’s user & partner growth in assigned region: Creates networks and promotes initiatives with partner organizations, strengthen partnerships in the market and in region.
  • Performance: Develop business model and strategies for OP Users & Partners and to be operational within the set timeframe.
  • Client focus and orientation: Anticipates constraints in the delivery of OP’s services and proactively identifies, develops and discusses solutions or alternatives for partners

Experience, Functional Skills and Knowledge Areas Experience:

  • 8 years of experience in Sales & Business Development within Payments, Banking or Mobile Financial Services.

Education and qualifications

  • University degree in Economics, International Relations, Business Administration and Management or other relevant fields.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience in handling of web-based management systems and advanced program for data analysis.

Functional skills and knowledge areas:

  • Change management and adaptability
  • Demonstrated decision making capability
  • Ability to drive customer behavior and provide excellent customer experience
  • Ability to lead strategic planning, results-based management and reporting Language Requirements:
  • Fluent in English and Myanmar
