Job Description (JD)

Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager (Fetelizer) is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive volume growth, market penetration, and revenue targets for our complete portfolio, including Fertilizers (Granular & Foliar), Fungicides, Pesticides, and Soil Amendments/Bio-solutions. This role focuses on managing and expanding the distributor/dealer network, leading a localized field sales force, and establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders, commercial plantations, and local farmers.

The position requires managing the distinct strategic, logistical, and seasonal crop cycles of both Upper and Lower Myanmar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Sales Strategy & Market Expansion: Develop and implement comprehensive regional sales strategies to achieve annual volume and revenue targets across all product segments: Crop Nutrition (Granular & Foliar), Crop Protection (Fungicides & Pesticides), and Soil Health (Specialized soil conditioners/bio-inputs).

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor movements, pricing trends, and pest/disease outbreak patterns to provide real-time market insights.

  • Channel & Dealer Management: Strengthen and expand the company’s B2B dealer and wholesaler network, ensuring full product range availability across remote rural retail points ahead of planting seasons.

  • Financial Oversight: Evaluate dealer performance, manage credit limits, and ensure timely credit collections from the market in compliance with corporate risk policies.

  • Field Leadership & Demand Generation: Lead, mentor, and coach field sales teams and technical agronomists stationed across Upper and Lower Myanmar.

  • Ground Execution: Oversee on-ground demand generation activities, including field demonstration trials (proving product efficacy), farmer meetings, dealer seminars, and harvest days.

  • Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with the central supply chain team to forecast regional demand by product category, minimizing stockouts or product expiration.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements 

Education

  • Must be an Agricultural Graduate: Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or a closely related agricultural discipline. (An MBA or postgraduate degree in Business/Sales Management is an asset).

Experience Requirements

  • Overall Sales Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressive sales experience within the agricultural inputs sector (Fertilizers, Foliar nutrients, Pesticides, Fungicides, and Soil amendments).

  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of specific experience in a Regional Sales Manager or territory management role, with a proven track record of managing multi-regional sales operations and team handling.

  • Territory & Market Exposure: Extensive, hands-on experience managing dealer, distributor, and wholesaler networks across both Upper and Lower Myanmar market ecosystems.

Core Competencies & Skills

  • Agronomic Knowledge: Strong technical understanding of crop nutrition, plant protection (pest/disease management), and soil health dynamics across Myanmar's major crop cycles.

  • Commercial Acumen: Proven capability in sales forecasting, market pipeline management, regional budgeting, and managing credit limits/collections.

  • Territory Management: Excellent logistical and strategic planning skills to navigate the distinct seasonal demand shifts in both Upper and Lower Myanmar.

  • Communication & Language: Strong negotiation, team building, and relationship management skills. Fluency in Burmese is required; professional working proficiency in English is preferred for corporate reporting.

Travel Requirements

  • High Mobility: Willingness and capability to travel extensively (up to 50%–60%) across rural and urban territories within Upper and Lower Myanmar to monitor field activities and maintain key dealer relationships.
