The role holder is responsible for effectively managing business development and sales operations for SME Banking and Business Alliance by developing the sales strategy and identifying, originating and pursuing new business opportunities to enable achievement of customer acquisition, market share, revenue and profit margins. The role holder is also responsible for developing and maintaining healthy relationships with a network of key clients, championing and driving the implementation of sales and customer care initiatives to ensure the delivery of exceptional client service. The role holder is also responsible for supporting the bank’s strategies and initiatives to provide an effective and engaging digital customer on-boarding experience, expand the agent and merchant networks, and drive the usage of mobile and digital applications, in order to achieve economic and social development in Myanmar through nationwide financial inclusion.

  • Being responsible for managing a decent portfolio size [up to 100 Loan/Deposit Accounts] of with the assigned group of the clients of the bank as well as expanding new client base
  • Knowing customers’ needs, wants and expectations in a timely manner
  • Providing a complete and comprehensive banking solutions (Deposit Product, Structured Credit Solutions, Trade Financing etc.) by understanding the client’s nature and cash flow condition of the business, and level of risk
  • Maintaining an effective calling program to approach existing customers, new prospects, and referral sources
  • Cooperating with respective VCs to promote new products & services to cater to the clients’ financing and banking needs
  • Providing advisory service for customers to be a successful business, linking them to other business, helping customers to meet with the bank’s credit policy in their financing needs for business expansion
  • Maintaining customer loyalty and promoting brand-identity by providing excellent customer service via regular updates and reviews on bank’s range of financial products as well as customers’ financial needs.
  • Keeping abreast with Respective Product Owners to get updated product information and to inform the client accordingly
  • Implementing to meet the assigned targets to carry out the periodic instructions, memo, disciplines and responsibilities set by Management
  • Cooperating with credit officers to renew the clients’ existing credit and to ensure that the data within these extensions of credit are accurate and all credit risks are properly addressed
  • Furnishing the Credit Officers with client information, financial statements, and relevant data, for the different types of CA reviews (Annual, Initial, Interim etc.)
  • Ensures appropriate obligor / facility risk ratings in line with the risk ratings Policy of the Bank
  • Monitoring Past-Dues Delinquent Loan Report and take any required action, after consulting with Line Manager/DVCGM/VCGM of SMEBB VC
  • Providing recommendations to improve the current procedures and processes to ensure that work is carried out in an efficient manner
  • Taking an action on any other ad-hoc assigned tasks

Job Requirements

  • Fluent of English Language (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening)
  • Be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
  • Prefer Graduate from Institute of  Economics, University of Computer Studies, specialized in B.Com (or) BBA (or) BBM (or) BC.Sc (or) BSc (Maths) (or) B.A (Eng)
  • IT skills are also beneficial.
  • At least 3 years of  working experience in banking field or sales organization
