To save guard hotel guests, staff and their property & protect from fire, damage, loss and theft by coordinating and having a good team relationship with all department.
To perform stationary and patrol, observations of the employee service areas and public area as well as parking lots.
Screen visitors and visitor's care as they pass through the security gates or entrance following the procedure as set out in the procedure manual.
Ensure all staff carry I.D card with them while on duty, monitor the timekeeping area to ensure employees are not loitering.
Provide guests or visitors escort when requested to do so and do not wait for tips.
Monitor parking lots and provide extra coverage for lobby and poolside.
To follow up time clock/time stamp machine procedure while on roving the hotel premises.
Maintain regular inspections of all out lets to ensure there are no disturbances.
During patrol inspections, check rooms basement, generator room, kitchen, fire exits and equipment are in good working order.
Ensure all guest rooms, office rooms, store rooms etc;… are locked and properly secured after office hours.
In the event of the fire, follow the set fire procedures as set out in operating manual. Coordinate with the Engineering Department, General Manger (or) Manger on duty and the Fire Department.
Co-ordinate and participate enthusiastically in regular fire drills engaged by the Fire Department and monthly fire drills within the hotel to ensure the safety of the hotel guests and staffs.
Ensure a good relationship is maintained with local police personal, intelligence departments and other Government departments.
Responsible to monitor and maintain electronic Time Recorder and Time Cards from misused and misconduct.
Prepare daily record/log such as incident/accident reports.
Visitor-log, car gate pass log and roving log and so on.
Responsible for undertaking with Human Resources checks of the staff locker rooms, change facilities and to ensure area are not being misused and are kept in a clean well maintained state.
Should you find a staff mistreating the hotel and its facilities, it is your responsibility to report this to your Manager & the Human Resources Department.
Lead by example, and should you locate a fellow team member smoking, spitting or chewing betelnut in hotel premises, the person should be reported to Security Supervisor/Manger and Human Resources immediately.
Ensure a pleasant and courteous manner is adhered to when dealing with guests of the hotel and fellow team member.
Carry out any other duties as required to do so by the management.
Check garbage and disposal material occasionally.
