RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent needs to possess acumen for the major duties, tasks, and responsibilities that make up the work functions of YOMA Bank Court Cases Administrator:

  • Prepares the documents necessary to initiate filing in court for each account: initiating emails and prepare Meeting Minutes of assigning the representative for the court case.
  • Prepare the case in order to file: extract from Loan/NPL files, calculate outstanding amount, file the minutes, case summaries, notices and notifications. 
  • Collects and file court case documents in hardcopy and softcopy, update into individual case summary, and input into Collection System.
  • Knows the specific nature of various YOMA Bank loan products and the way the accounts are created, interest charged, penalties applied, restructured and renewed.
  • Establishes good working relationship with Branches and Lawyer in order to obtain vital information required in preparing for a case.
  • Keeps ongoing court cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; upcoming actions and schedules, documenting actions.
  • Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling meeting (teleconference)
  • Keeps centralized legal team and YOMA branches informed of the progress of the case. Report with data to supervisor when the court case has any issue or settlement plan.
  • Inputs updated and accurate court case status information into the centralized spreadsheets and store in share drives once the case status when updated by the bank lawyer.
  • Maintain updated info in each case on Provisions, Write-offs, Expenditures, Assessor Valuations, Insurance, updated representative and lawyer, Lawyer contracts and fees paid, Partially settled amounts, etc.
  • Maintains the expenses of the case by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients, and other claimable expenses of the account.
  • Closely follow up the lawyers and branches regarding the status of court case, assist necessary alert to the reporting manager for required actions to take.
  • Report the court cases accounts and portfolio Monthly, summarize/project the quarterly and yearly resolved cases, update reporting teams with court cases data files.

Job Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Must be able to interpret the legal and contractual terms and clauses used in the contracts, T&Cs, Agreements, etc
  • Need to understand on the court decrees and the legal and contractual statements; and understand the impact and needed action in strong analytical thinking
  • Must be able to write formally the letters, appeals, submissions, contracts, notices, reminders in the form of well-structured legal language
  • Possess previous working experience in loan orientation, credit analysis, collection, credit underwriting of banking sector  
  • Be a quick learner to use core banking (FBE), collection systems and supporting systems
  • Manage time effectively and work well under pressure and meet deadlines 
  • Team player willing and able to collaborate with associates at all levels
  • Motivated to seek out answers, generate ideas, and develop new skills 
  • Be able to understand the procedures, perform mathematical calculations and learn the process of legal action 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and take quick actions based on importance/urgency
  • Able to assist team and management 

Education & Special Training

  • PC skills – Excellent skill for Power BI, Microsoft Excel, good working knowledge of Words, PowerPoint, Visio, Email. 
  • Documentation skills – able to write official letters, emails in simple English
  • Good typing speed in both English and Burmese (Myanmar Fonts)

Experience

  • Previous working experience in loan orientation, credit analysis, collection, credit underwriting of banking sector provides an advantage
  • Min 2-year experience in any business operation preferably Data Analytics and Reporting roles 
  • Prior banking experience preferred but not essential 

Lanuguage

  • Fluent in English and Myanmar (written and verbal)
