ABOUT THE JOB 

Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for leading cloud engineering team on the day-to-day operation of cloud environment. He/she is responsible all technical aspects related to cloud platform, including implementation, operation of platform and enforcing best practices for the platform. He/she will be working closely with multiple teams across organization to define and implement technical solutions on the cloud platform to fulfil the company cloud strategy. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Responsible for design, deploy and troubleshoot’ s company cloud infrastructure. 

• Setup processes, services, and tools to support day to day operation of cloud environment.  

• Managing the cloud environments according to industry best practices and ensure all security and compliance controls are met.  

• Handling of service requests and ensure requests are validated according to standard operation procedure and executed according to service level agreement.  

• Troubleshoot technical problem, incident, identify root causes, fix, and document problems. Ensure preventive measure are implemented and minimized the impact of services availability in cloud environment.  

• Provide oversight of cloud platform for capacity planning, optimization, utilization, and access management.  

• Provide support in implementation of cloud base solutions, including Planning, Design, Development, Testing and Quality Assurance.  

• Review the technical solutions and validate the resource requirements prepare by internal project team and vendors.  

• Evaluating new technologies for innovation and provides recommendation for Enterprise Architecture Strategies and implementation.  

• Provide guidance, coaching and leadership to cloud engineering team.  

• Regularly provides metrics, reports, and recommendations to management.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other equivalent qualifications.  
• Professional Certification in Azure Administrator or equivalent would be of advantage.  
• Highly technical and analytical, possessing at least 3 years of experience in technology implementation and operation excellence.  
• At least 3 years of professional experience in architecting/operating solutions build on Azure Cloud Environment.   
• Strong experience and working knowledge in Azure Cloud Environment such as VNET, S2S VPN, Storage Services, Computing Services, Container Services, Data Services, Identity and Access Management, Configuration Management, CDN Services, Azure Active Directory, Azure Monitor, Azure Security Centre etc. 
• Experience in migrating on premise solutions to the cloud environment and drive for technology transformation.   
• Experience in managing enterprise eco-systems such as Active Directory, O365, Virtual Desktop, Windows/Linux Operation Systems, Products (Oracle, Salesforce etc) is an advantage.  

• Experience in IT Service Management Best practices, Agile and DevOps is an advantage.   

• Experience in infrastructure and deployment orchestration solution such as Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, Docker, ARM, Bicep is an advantage.  

• Effective Communicator at all levels the organization and outside with third parties. 

• Proven ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of analyst, developers, cloud engineers, data scientist and other subject matter experts.  

• Knowledge in other cloud platforms such as AWS/Huawei Cloud is plus.
