- Optimize and tuning production databases for high availability and rapid scaling to support core ISP and ubiquitous Value Add services, and mobile application targeted to serve beyond tens of millions of consumers and businesses.

- Deploy tools to help monitor health, load, and performance on database systems

- Analyze application load demands and system failure cases to continuously enhance and scale up/out database systems.  Propose architectural solutions if needed.

- Troubleshoot performance and downtime issues.  Anticipate and relieve bottlenecks before they impact users

- Collaborate with 3rd party vendors and consultation services to drive further optimizations or fix issues

- Manage data backups, perform recovery, assist in system upgrades and conduct regular audits the processes are followed properly.  Apply new patches and versions as required.

- 4+ years of proven working experience as a Database Administrator

- Expertise in MySQL/Postgres, MongoDB, Postgres, and/or TSQL

- Experience with clustering and performance tuning of database systems, database design and query optimization

- Familiarity with programming languages API

- Problem solving and database algorithms

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and burmese

- Experience in the telecom sector or equivalent experience working on large scale, mission-critical production systems are plus.
