Job Description

Job Purpose

  • To lead the Transaction Officers in their day to day duties. To support the COO in re-engineering workflows and processes.

Summary of duties

Cash Control Management

  • Direct supervision to the Transaction Officers in management of loan disbursement, repayment and cash control at branches
  • Check and review the performances of the branches daily & monthly transaction for repayment, cash withdrawal, deposit and expenses by TO.
  • Monitor and check daily cash balance and cash denomination report by TO
  • Check and review the performances of the Transaction Officers, observe the activities of TO and enforce them to properly follow methodological procedures in implementing activities.
  • Work with IT department to troubleshoot the core banking system if needed by the TO
  • Branch level Transaction Officers will report to this position and need to proper support to them if they have any difficulties and issues.
  • Suggest improvements in the current cash management processes at the branches.

New Product Development and Policy

  • Research and monitors existing processes and products offer by other industry players
  • Work closely with branch sales department to establish a design, technology, product development, and vender dealing strategy.
  • Identify potential new product opportunities and design the product criteria
  • Analyze product budget and prepare new product analysis reports to COO
  • Initiate pilot testing and work together with branch sales team
  • Execute new product rollout plan and rollout implementation
  • Launching new product activities
  • Develop, review, refine, and operationalize microfinance policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

 

Training and Development

  • Provide on-the-job training to all Transaction Officers, including new recruits and existing staff.
  • Assist in developing new training curriculum of TOs, modification of existing training materials and training techniques if needed.
  • With the guidance of Chief Operating Officer perform training need assessment of the TOs and coordinate to provide training to enhance their capacity.

Reporting

  • Regularly update Chief Operating Officer on the daily and monthly basis by providing report of the activities of Transaction Officers.
  • Coordinate and organize between Chief Operating Officer and Transaction Officers for the Operation department
  • Undertake any other assignment assigned by Chief Operating Officer.

Job Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Fluent in both Myanmar and English
  • Excellent communications, reporting and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills in excel and power point
  • Knowledge of Financial Accounting/Financial Auditing

Experience

  • 8 to 10 years working experience in Microfinance / Banking / financial institution.
  • Experiences in product development, conducting research, writing Policies and SOPs.

Education

  • Any graduate, preferably degree in Agriculture, Accounting, Business

Travel will be a requirement of this position and the successful candidate must be willing and able to travel nationally – any obstacle to this requirement must be disclosed at the interview stage.
