DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

ROLE PURPOSE

The successful candidate is responsible to drive the achievement of Bancassurance sales targets while maintaining good relationship and working with various stakeholders in the Bank.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and sustain strong relations and network with all business units to identify insurance opportunities and cross-selling opportunities for the bank’s products.
  • Work closely with the branches and business teams to ensure that set Bancassurance targets are met.
  • Relationship management for Yoma Bank insurance partner(s) both internally and externally for efficient service delivery.
  • Retain continuous awareness of transactions, sales and terms and keep relative records.
  • Participate in roadshows/ campaigns and work closely with Branch Managers/ Branch Sales on sales activities and promotional campaigns.
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure continuous training of branches and business teams on all insurance products.
  • Monitor the performance of portfolio and ensure the compliance with regulatory requirements, the partner and the Bank’s strategic directions and objectives.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business management discipline.
  • Minimum 2-3 years prior experience in banking or financial institution in Myanmar, preferably with prior knowledge in the Insurance industry.
  • Possess a valid insurance license (Life & General) is desirable.
  • Proven sales track record within Banking, Insurance and related industries will be an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building skills.
  • Sales & results oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, spoken, email, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently & capacity to take pressure and deliver business objectives, complete task deadline and prioritize workload are some key traits of a successful candidate.
  • Efficient execution of assignments within short time frame.
  • Able to adapt to fast-changing environment.
  • Fluent in English and Myanmar (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge and experience in banking or other financial services organizations within a regulated environment
  • Knowledge and experience of business financial products and services.
