Job Summary - Sales executive is a one of the key person within the company, charged with the tasks assigned by the sales management for the execution of company strategies to grow assigned line of product categories. In this position, sales executive will assist and executes sales strategies and plans to increase the effectiveness of sales force, determine channel strategy (new and existing trade channel) to achieve key objectives including sales revenue, availability, visibility and coverage for the assigned line of products.
Sales executive is an important position to execute plans and strategies to expend the customer in the product line that he/she is running by direct trade visits, market research, competitive analysis and other means. With this knowledge, this role can effectively contribute to the formulation of right strategy for the product line. Passion, commitment, creativity, curiosity, collaboration and integrity are key traits to success in this role.
Executes assigned sales management of the product brand(s) to ensure that the relationship and expectation of MDG-Principals are fully aligned.
- Execute a marketing plan and a sales strategy for the assigned market that ensures attainment of company sales budget, goals and profitability.
- To prepare action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
- Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration on related matters.
- Develop and keep record of customer database on assigned sales management of product brand(s)
- Ensure that all sales activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)) in line with business objectives.
- Comply with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide timely and accurate feedbacks and report to the sales management
- Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with business needs
- Build consensus, synthesize ideas on strategy, planning and drive execution
Trade and Consumer Programs development & execution
- Monitor and report competitors’ activities – product pricing, trade programs, product line extensions etc.
- Monitor execution of the trade programs to ensure executional success. Conduct random audit checks to ensure strict adherence to stipulated guidelines during this period.
Execution to business build, grow sales and achieve business objectives. Align KPIs and objectives between MDG and Principal(s) for the following:
- Achieving sales & revenue target, in agreement with principal(s)
- Achieving distribution targets, with emphasis on channel priorities and channel-product mix
- Special program targets (e.g. In Store Merchandising, LED displays, HORECA sponsorship)
- Participate daily, weekly and monthly reports and records. Monthly team reviews and quarterly business updates across regions, channels and accounts.
Execution to achieve optimized distribution coverage and customer service across all channels by ensuring the following:
- Superior retail presence in all targeted sales channels (HORECA, Retailers, and Liquor Shops etc.)
- Strong trade relationship in support of our products and programs.
- Plan and organize product tasting events to create strong product awareness and build strong following from trade partners and consumers
