An Exciting Opportunity for ...

Design Solar PV systems, including single line diagrams, array layouts, fence layout, road layout using Engineering CAD software such as in AutoCAD accordingly with applicable standards.
Establish Solar PV basis of design including module selection, string sizing, ground coverage ratio, inverter selection, inverter power factor requirements, inverter loading ratio, and cable sizing.
Perform energy performance modeling using Solar PV and renewable energy simulation software.
Determine suitable locations for solar PV installation based on site visits and risk assessments.
Assess/survey site conditions and anticipate issues that may arise during construction.
Demonstrate structural, mechanical, and electrical design skills, ability to generate construction drawings.
Oversee installation of lightning protection systems.
Review the test results of solar PV and grounding systems.
Develop, prepare and review feasibility studies for solar PV projects.
Understanding of utility PPA and Interconnection requirements.
Preparation of all documentation for technical due diligence with project requirement.
Liaise and obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities to ensure all project development works comply with local regulations and laws.
Communicate field observations with design engineering to achieve design solutions.
Identifying and clarifying technical ambiguities and conflicts in the documents.
Provide technical and managerial recommendations to the proposal team based on the project/ contract requirement.
Develop the design criteria and the document deliverables list for the project.
Able to perform protection & control equipment design for solar PV system.
Prepare conceptual level designs of mega, utilities and commercial solar PV plant.
Generate equipment specifications, monitor vendor technical compliance and witness factory acceptance testing.
Provide construction, installation & commissioning support.
Manage project schedules and budgets to provide accurate resource loading for the project.
Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

4 plus years of experience in solar PV system design.
BE (Electrical) or equivalent qualification
Must be proficient in renewable energy modeling software such as Homer, PVsyst and Rated Power.
Knowledge in MS Project, Primavera P6 is an added bonus.
Strong analytics, multitasking and communication skill.
Familiarity in civil design requirements for a Solar PV plant construction.
Proficient with safety, regulatory compliance requirements and electrical standards.
