Job Description

KBZ Bank is looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills to work in a team of technology specialist and teams to create systems and modules to be deployed on cloud as well as KBZ owned managed on-premises datacentre.

As a Systems Engineering team member, you will work directly with engineers across cross-functional teams and deliver best practice infrastructure design from concept to data centre deployment. A strong skillset covering engineering analysis, simulation, component selection, bench testing and troubleshooting, communication and working with external suppliers and partners is required.

  • Installation, configuration, testing and support of all server and workstation hardware, operating systems and applications, peripheral devices, storage systems, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Administration and configuration of the virtual server environment.
  • Performs ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
  • Maintenance, updates and upgrades of servers and storage, including service packs, patches, and hot fixes.
  • Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Collaborates with all IT Departments to ensure timely completion of Service Desk tickets, and to develop and maintain operational documentation.
  • Participates in disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Repairs and recovers from hardware or software failures. Coordinates and communicates with impacted parties.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves up to level 2 problems and provides guidance to other staff members during the troubleshooting of problems below level 2.
  • Collaborates with other IT Department personnel and vendors to resolve issues.
  • Design and deploy highly available infrastructure services that KBZ Bank’s infrastructure digital services depend on
  • Build, scale, and secure traditional services using innovative solutions
  • Automate where possible, implement and improve processes where necessary
  • Participate in org-wide incident review and remediation
  • Be the final escalation point for issues related to core Windows infrastructure
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in IT field is required
  • Experience with corporate environment configuring, deploying and supporting business software utilizing device management technology such as System Center Configuration Manager, mobile device management and Windows Installer tools.
  • Experience supporting end-users in a corporate

Technical Skill

  • [Mandatory] Strong and proven experience in Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Local Policy, Windows Firewall and Event Log
  • [Mandatory] A strong and proven skill in any of the Scripting language (Powershell or Batch) and knowledge of using regular expression
  • [Required] Hand-ons or Proven experience with any of the following virtualization technologies: VMWare, Hyper-V or RHV
  • [Required] Basic knowledge with Microsoft IIS, FTP and File Servers
  • [Required] Knowledge of how to use windows built-in tools and third-party utilities (netstat, netsh, process explorer, handle.exe etc)
  • [Required] Basic infrastructure knowledge in Backup/Storage, Network, Terminal Server Services
  • [Required] Good knowledge with Microsoft Excel formula and data manipulation (vlookup, pivot tables etc)
  • [Required] Experience with using Microsoft visio or any diagramming software.
  • [Optional] Knowledge with Windows OS monitoring and metrics
  • [Optional] Knowledge on System Center Configuration Manager tool (SCCM) is a plus
  • Soft Skill

  • Compassionate to automate tasks/jobs/systems wherever applicable to improve the daily operations with efficiency
  • Need to complete the assigned task under tight schedule
  • Experience in working with team remotely and self-learning
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, occasional night standby support (onsite or remote) in case of system migration activity / system maintenance
  • Good technical written and communication skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changes in priorities
