Job Description

System Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the Unix / Linux / Windows infrastructure; Application maintenance and deployment; also, to collaborate with other team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. He/she will become an integral part of the team, making every problem of the platform a problem of his or her own, and solving issues and building them according to business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administration of Linux, Unix, Windows server infrastructure and day to day operations
• Monitor the application, and document and analyze problems
• Work closely with vendors to tune and troubleshoot problems
• Design and develop infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools
• Develop and maintain configuration management solutions and security protocols
• Develop test automation frameworks in collaboration with rest of the team
• Create tools to help teams make the most out of the available infrastructure
• Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure

Job Requirements

• Experience with Unix and Linux servers in virtualized environments
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Unix and Linux services
• Strong grasp on configuration management tools
• Familiarity with load balancing and other security related tools
• Proficient with Solaris / Linux network tools
• Experienced with Windows Server and Windows Applications
• Ability to build, automate and monitor services on production servers
• Knowledge Databases and troubleshooting steps
• Knowledge of DevOps engineering

Education and Other Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/IT or Technology.
• RHCSA, RHCE, LPI, or any IT related certification will be an added advantage
• Ability to work on the weekends and on standby 24/7
• Possesses troubleshooting skills and can-do attitude
