Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced translator to join our holding company, which consists of several business units. The primary responsibility of the Translator will be to translate documents, emails, and other business-related communications to-and-from English and Burmese and vice versa.  The ideal candidate will have excellent language skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Translate documents, emails, and other business-related communications from English to the native language of the subsidiary company.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of translations, while maintaining the intended meaning and tone of the original content.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of translations.
• Proofread and edit translations as needed to ensure high-quality work.
• Maintain and update translation memory and glossaries.
• Attend meetings and participate in discussions as needed to provide language support.
• Provide cultural guidance to ensure that translations are appropriate for the target audience.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments in translation technology.

Requirements:

• Any diploma or degree in any discipline.
• Native-level fluency in Burmese Language and advanced proficiency in English.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across translations.
• Strong understanding of cultural differences and nuances.
• Experience in translating business and legal documents is preferred.
