  • read through original material and rewrite it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained
  • Understand the context and meaning the material
  • Convert the material into the second language while preserving the original meaning
  • Translate video, online, and television media by providing subtitles
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other colleagues to understand technical texts
  • Translate material accurately
  • Use online translation tools for additional assistance with translation
  • use specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used
  • proofread and edit final translated versions

Job Requirements

Ability to translate between English and Burmese languages, especially from Burmese to English to acceptable quality

-Basic Microsoft Word, email, social network literacy

-Strong willingness to learn

-University degree, preferred

-Previous experience, preferred

2. Will need to have one-hour written test and only short-listed candidates will be invited for interviews.
