The Role

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and visionary Mentor Teacher to lead our curriculum design, teacher training, and academic quality initiatives at our North Dagon Branch. As a senior academic leader, you will bridge the gap between HQ curriculum development and classroom implementation. You will mentor and coach our teaching staff, ensure consistent curriculum delivery, and drive continuous improvement in teaching quality. This is an exciting opportunity to shape innovative MI and STEAM education programs and make a lasting impact on young learners and educators alike.

Key Responsibilities

• HQ Curriculum Design & Development
• · Design, develop, and continuously improve the school's Multiple Intelligence (MI) and STEAM-based curriculum.
• · Create age-appropriate STEAM activities and develop curriculum guides, lesson plan templates, and teaching resources.
• · Ensure consistent curriculum implementation across the branch and align with child-centered, play-based learning philosophy.
• · Review and update curriculum content based on student outcomes, teacher feedback, and best practices.
• · Prepare curriculum plans, academic documentation, and quarterly academic reports.
• Teacher Training & Professional Development
• · Design and deliver training programs on MI teaching strategies and STEAM project implementation.
• · Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive, actionable feedback.
• · Facilitate professional development workshops, in-service training sessions, and academic meetings.
• · Provide one-to-one reflective coaching to improve teacher-child interactions and classroom management.
• · Mentor newly hired teachers during probation and contribute to annual performance appraisals.
• Academic Quality Control
• · Monitor teaching quality and children's learning outcomes across all classrooms.
• · Ensure teaching practices align with curriculum standards and pedagogical approaches.
• · Conduct regular walkthroughs and provide written feedback to teaching staff.
• · Identify areas for improvement and implement action plans.
• · Ensure compliance with ECCD standards and local regulations.
• Classroom & Teaching Support
• · Work alongside classroom teachers to model best practices and provide in-class support.
• · Assist teachers in preparing showcase activities, learning displays, and student portfolios.
• · Support parent-teacher conferences and student progress meetings.
• · Step in to teach when required to cover teacher absences or demonstrate lessons.
• Communication & School-Wide Contribution
• · Build positive relationships with parents and communicate regularly on student progress.
• · Organize showcase events, demo lessons, and parent workshops.
• · Support school-wide events, marketing initiatives, and student retention strategies.
• · Attend staff meetings, planning sessions, and uphold child protection and safety policies.

Education:

• A Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field is required. A Master's Degree in Education or Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) is highly preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of teaching experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a mentoring, coaching, or leadership role within a preschool or international school setting.
• Certification:
• A valid ECCD Certificate (Social Welfare) is required. A Teaching License or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Skills & Attributes:
• Strong knowledge of MI theory, STEAM education, and play-based learning approaches with experience in curriculum development and design. Excellent leadership, coaching, mentoring, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data, drive improvement, and work collaboratively. Creative, proactive, solution-oriented, and highly organized with strong documentation skills. Passionate about early childhood development and teacher growth.
• Language:
• Fluent in English (written and verbal). Myanmar language proficiency is an advantage

Working Hours

• Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
