The overall development, performance and maintenance of the factory’s activities to obtain the maximum efficiency, production, quality, service and profitability for the organisation.
- Responsible for the conceptualization, development, testing and scaling of new recipes for the Drinking Water production and new R&D products. - To conduct continual testing, improvement and scaling of new and existing product item recipes. - To conduct sensory evaluation and approval of new products / recipes. - Ensure all product creation complies with customer, government and legal regulatory requirements within the country of use. - To prepare product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs. - Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing department to understand the customers’ needs and requirements and to also assist in troubleshooting customers’ issues (when necessary) - To develop innovative solutions to help grow and value-add to customers’ requirements, ensuring that any solutions provided are within the stipulated cost parameters and manufacturing capability - To assist the Production Head in all R&D product development matters. - Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Periodically review all food safety procedures and instructions, to ensure they remain current - Controlling the production process - Controlling the production & maintenance checklist. - Collect, analyze, and publish measurement data, to determine the root cause of process and product food safety problems and recommend action to resolve those problems
- Direct internal/external tool shops on all tool repairs and improvements - Manage and lead technical team including: Blowing Maintenance, Injection Maintenance. - Responsible for team member evaluations and mentorship/coaching, including accessing effectiveness of technical abilities and leadership potential. - Take the lead in engineering activities in the area of blow molding, injection molding, and secondary equipment, in order to obtain optimum productivity and quality levels while complying with customer specifications.
Monitoring computer systems for malfunctions and errors. Performing maintenance and updates on hardware and software systems as needed. Implementing repairs and updates based on diagnostic assessments. Keeping abreast of the latest developments in hardware, software and diagnostic techniques. Design and testing of new enhancements / integrations / reports for application systems. Other duties assigned by HOD.
