Credit union was founded more than 160 years ago. Its basic ideals are still very much valid today even the environment within which it operates has changed. We still live in a world where economic inequality is increasing between the super-rich and the majority of the population. The earth around us is overheating and affecting our lives and the future generation. We value gender parity, yet we do not see gender balance in the Directors of credit unions who is charting the direction and services of credit unions.
