Our History

Shu Khinn Thar International College (formerly Horizon International School) has been a premier educational institution in Myanmar since 2000. Built on long years of experience, Shu Khinn Thar International College provides challenging college diploma programmes to students 16-19 years of age, focused on critical thinking skills and practical application of knowledge. The programmes prepare students for gaining confidence and experience to be successful in higher studies. One of our flagship programmes is the IB Diploma programme. Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials for Myanmar language and culture courses prescribed by the School’s Myanmar Language and Culture Department. Teach the Myanmar language, literature, history, and culture to students. Use various teaching methods to engage students in learning, including games, role-playing, and cultural activities. Assess students' learning and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians on their progress. Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to promote academic excellence. Participate in departmental and school-wide meetings and professional development opportunities. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and performance. Job Summary: The Executive Secretary is responsible for providing administrative support to the President of BFI Education Services. The Executive Secretary will perform a variety of duties including managing the executive's schedule, organizing meetings, preparing reports, and handling confidential information. The Executive Secretary will also act as a liaison between the executive and other staff members, clients, and stakeholders. - Manage the President’s schedule, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events - Prepare agendas, take minutes, and distribute meeting materials for meetings attended by the President - Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion - Answer phone calls, emails, and other correspondence on behalf of the President - Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for the President - Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials as requested by the President - Act as a liaison between the executive and other staff members, clients, and stakeholders - Assist with special projects and events as needed - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files - Perform other duties as assigned by the President
