Job Summary The Assistant Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing demand and supply planning, warehousing, inventory, and logistics operations (both inbound and outbound) to support the company’s business objectives. This role ensures efficient and timely movement of goods while aligning with business objectives and group-level strategies. The position requires strong cross-functional collaboration and reports directly to the Operations Manager. Roles and Responsibilities Main Activities covered: Supply Chain Management (Demand & Supply Planning) Warehouse & Inventory Management Logistics (Inbound & Outbound) Leadership , Organization and Culture Development: Ensure functional objectives are achieved by implementing efficient processes and monitoring performance. Align priorities and integrate key activities and projects with the direct supervisor and with relevant matrix managers. Ensure timely completion of projects within budget and in accordance with quality standards. Prepare annual operating and capital expenditure budgets (OPEX and CAPEX) for supervised activities. Evaluate team performance and hold direct reports accountable for achieving their individual targets; recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements. Develop, review, and update relevant policies, processes, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Role modelling of the company core values to drive the culture to support the company mission & vision Supply Chain, warehouse and inventory Develop and execute warehousing management plans for both in-house and third-party warehouses. Maintain detailed and accurate inventories of materials and supplies to prevent shortages. Lead the monthly stock-taking process in coordination with the Finance Department. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure necessary resources are available for a smooth and effective supply chain. Oversee seed registration processes in coordination with the Product Development, Sales, and Finance Departments. Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate and improve supply chain efficiency. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance supply chain effectiveness and company profitability. Lead the implementation of group-initiated supply chain projects within the country (e.g., ERP systems). Manage Slow-Moving & Obsolete Inventory (SMOI) and coordinate appropriate actions with Finance and Sales departments. Logistics Oversee the end-to-end logistics process for seeds, non-seed materials, and finished goods, including international and domestic transportation, in coordination with sister companies, external vendors, and third-party logistics providers. Optimize shipment and transportation routes with a focus on efficient warehousing and distribution. Manage the importation process and stay informed of changes in import-export regulations and compliance requirements. Demand and Supply Planning Lead the demand planning process in collaboration with the Sales Department (sales forecasting), Group Supply Chain team, and sister companies. Ensure achievement of in-country supply chain KPIs, particularly Forecast Accuracy and BIAS. Facilitate and lead monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings to align, update, and make decisions that minimize disruptions and ensure demand is met.

This position requires leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of logistics principles and practices in Myanmar. Roles and Responsibilities Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Coordinate with various internal departments including sis companies, suppliers, and transportation providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods. Plan and schedule shipments based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production requirements. Implement inventory control measures, such as cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and optimization of storage space. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of inventory. Collaborate with procurement colleagues to identify suitable third party logistics providers Coordinate and optimize freight activities, including routing, consolidation, and mode of transportation. Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery and proactively address any potential delays or issues. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and documentation procedures. Coordinate with customs brokers and relevant authorities to facilitate smooth customs clearance of imported and exported goods. Stay updated with changes in trade regulations and implement necessary adjustments in export and import processes. Lead and supervise a team of logistic personnel, warehouse staff, and other support personnel. Set performance goals, provide guidance and feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in logistics operations. Implement best practices and technological solutions to optimize logistics efficiency. Analyze logistics data and generate reports to assess performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. And any ad hoc assignment given by senior management.
