KBZMS General Insurance Co., Ltd was established as Myanmar's first officially licensed insurance company under the name of IKBZ in September 2012, with license number 001.

After forming a joint venture with the Japanese insurance company Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group (MSIG) in November 2019, IKBZ continued to operate under the new name KBZMS.

KBZMS operates out of 23 branch offices in 21 cities: Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyitaw, Taunggyi, Pyay, Pathein, Sittwe, Magway, Meiktila, Pakkoku, Monwya, Kalay, Myitkyinar, Lashio, Bago, Mawlamyine, Myeik, Myingyan, Tachileik, Hinthada & Taungoo.

In October 1st, 2020, KBZMS expanded its Commercial Lines product portfolio to provide coverage in industrial-related risks, construction, and electrical hazards.

Our products cover the full range of individuals' and organizations' general insurance needs including fire insurance, motor insurance, marine cargo insurance, personal accident insurance, health insurance, and as well as Commercial Lines, covering Industrial All Risk, Construction All Risk/Erection All Risk and Bailee’s Liability Insurance products.

Training Program Design & Delivery Identify and evaluate training methodologies, tools, and technologies to enhance the effectiveness of training programs. Collaborate with departmental managers, subject matter experts, and external vendors to identify training needs and resources. Build strong relationships with internal clients to understand their business objectives and tailor training solutions accordingly. Prepare or select any learning and development materials or programs required by the learner/trainer. Communicate course requirements with trainers, facilitators, learners, and external suppliers with agreed timelines. Training Operations & Logistics Arrange the booking of trainers, venues, travel, accommodation, and facilitate L&D and events. Any logistics support for training arrangement. Provide administrative support to trainers or managers in the planning and delivery of L&D events and strategy. Assist the payment to the vendor for training and activities. Assist in the rollout and administration of the Learning Management System (LMS). Manage the monthly and yearly training engagement calendar. Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and evaluations for reporting purposes. Produce and maintain accurate records of learning and development activity in compliance with procedures. Provide a reliable point of contact for all learning and development matters Communication & Engagement Prepare the communication email for training announcements or any employee engagement activities for all internal staff. Implement initiatives to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention (e.g., career development opportunities, mentorship programs, recognition schemes). Assist Talent Development Manager with organizational development, employee engagement, and employee well-being programs. Talent Development & Career Growth Assist Talent Development Manager in developing career pathways and succession planning initiatives. Supervise initiatives to identify and develop high-potential employees. Provide guidance to employees on training opportunities and career development resources. Collaborate with departmental managers to assess training needs and identify skill gaps. Assist Talent Development Manager to assess employee performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop career development and advancement plans. Work closely with Talent Development Manager to develop and implement talent development strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Employee Well-being & Engagement Support Assist in designing and implementing employee well-being programs that support physical, mental, and emotional health. Coordinate wellness initiatives such as health checks, awareness campaigns, and stress management workshops. Support employee engagement activities that promote work-life balance, collaboration, and inclusivity. Gather employee feedback on well-being initiatives and recommend improvements to enhance participation and effectiveness. Collaborate with Talent Development Manager and external partners to provide resources and support services for employee well-being.

Support Learning & Development (L&D) activities including scheduling, communication, and record-keeping. Assist in monitoring training effectiveness and maintaining the LMS. Employee Engagement & Well-being Support employee engagement activities, career development initiatives, and well-being programs. Prepare internal communication for training, events, and engagement activities. Collect employee feedback and recommend improvements. HR Operations & Administration Supervise HR operations including attendance, leave management, payroll inputs, and HRIS updates. Ensure accurate employee records and compliance with labor laws and company policies. Oversee SSB, income tax submissions, and HR-related payments. Manage and organize employee files (physical and digital). Employee Relations Act as first point of contact for employee queries and concerns. Provide HR policy guidance to employees and line managers. Support HRBP Managers in handling employee relations cases, disciplinary actions, and performance management. Help foster positive employee relations to improve morale and retention.
