The position is to be based in Yangon, Myanmar and reporting to the expatriate Country Project Manager. Responsibilities: Establish EH&S Management System by the parent company’s guidelines and procedures and maintain compliance with local laws and regulations. Implement the EH&S Management System on site. Implement the permit-to-work system on-site for high-risk work activities. Communicate EH&S activities to the team and respective stakeholders. Coordinate safety briefings for high-risk work activities. Review the RA/MOS/JSA before the start of their job. Establish tools and equipment periodical maintenance routine and check PPEs, tools, and equipment for safe use before bringing them to the site. Check the medical certificate or fit-to-work recommendation for high-risk work. Review safety inspection reports and follow-up corrective/preventive actions. Review safety inspection together with the main contractor’s EH&S representative and document the findings/observations. Enforce the contractors’ EH&S representative to be present for on-site work activities. Update EH&S matters to management regularly. Report all incidents/accidents on-site to the Local Manager/Site Project Manager and Main Contractor’s Safety Manager immediately and follow up with corrective and preventive actions. Report monthly EH&S performance. Conduct audits, inspections, and performance reviews to ensure compliance. Coordinate EH&S promotion activities and report to management.
