The Community Engagement Liaison reports to the Commercial Manager. The Community Engagement Liaison is responsible for organizing all school community events and ensuring a vibrant, inclusive school culture. In addition to creating a hospitable school environment, the Community Engagement Liaison will be responsible for generating leads via internal referrals. Event Management Organize and coordinate events for students planned by the academic team. This includes, Sports Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, the Holiday Program and others. Organize and coordinate events planned for the school community. This includes the Winter Concert, International Day, Chinese New Year, Thingyan, Step-up ceremony and others. Plan, coordinate and lead events for parents. This is in collaboration with the Parent Teacher Organization as well as independently. Parent Teacher Organization Coordination Support the Head of School to develop a Parent Teacher Organization schedule and ensure it is followed. At meetings, take notes, document parent concerns/comments, coordinate with relevant parties and follow up. Family Engagement Plan events that provide parents an opportunity to invite their friends to share in the Yangon American community Develop relationships with parents to enrich their experience with Yangon American Develop and run an annual parent feedback survey. Analyze results and propose improvements to the school operations Generate leads via internal referrals
Creative conceptualizing and planning Participate in Creative Conceptualizing with the team, generate ideas and visual concepts Coordinate scheduling, workflow, and deadlines for multiple creative-related projects Creative development Take overall responsibility for all online and offline creatives including social media design, layout design, illustrations, banners, certificate, photo retouching etc. Ensure all creatives produced meets the brand guideline, a high standard of visual execution across all communication platforms and the deadline Delivering excellent result Get creatives reviewed by manager and requestors to ensure they are satisfied with the work created Assisting the creative project which indirectly related Assist with other creative-related projects such as photo shooting, as needed. Working with the class teacher to plan and monitor the class lessons and schedules Supervision of an assigned student or students for the purpose of academic and behavior intervention Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation by getting materials ready and setting up equipment. Revising lesson material with students individually or in small groups. Ensuring the classroom environment is safe and clean. Overseeing students during non-classroom times including in-between classes, during lunch, and on-field excursions. Collaborating with lead teachers to recognize issues students are facing and recommend solutions. Help students adjust, learn, and socialize and report to teachers about possible behavioral issues Documenting student progress and communicating with class teacher and curriculum coordinator. Helping class teachers to create lesson plans and track student attendance. Complying with state, school, and class rules and regulations Attending all training classes, parent conferences, and faculty meetings if necessary Plan and deliver Myanmar language class Perform supervisory duties as needed and assigned Incorporates the PYP framework into the classroom management and academic support.
