Job Description To underwrite client cases based on medical and financial standpoints using findings on medical examination, and the risk assessment of cases referred to by New Business team from time to time. To communicate related stakeholders (including customers, hospitals, co-workers, supervisors and other stakeholders as required) via email, phone and other methods. To enquire and follow-up with panel hospitals on cases with medical underwriting in conducting the various medical examinations and tests and the interpretation of certain medical reports. To help resolve or clarify with specific empaneled hospital or clinic when there is unusual or high-risk result found in medical result. To consult the senior medical practitioners at panel hospitals if necessary. To liaise with other departments and/or divisions. To provide information (including some statistics) on the local health care industry to relevant personnels, which are needed for product development. To attend Underwriting and Claims Committee meetings and any other meetings internally or externally which are held on timely basis. To give presentation or training related to medical knowledge to other non-medical co-workers (e.g. sale persons, financial advisors, officers from other divisions/departments) To report the status and cases to Underwriting Manger according to weekly or monthly basis. To participate in Social Responsibility activities in local or abroad. To undertake additional assignments, as may be requested by the management.
