• Support to CFO and CEO for developing the long-term strategy for the Institution.
• Support to CFO to Implement the best structure, team, policies and procedures required in the Finance Department, and ensure that they are followed.
• Support to build and maintain effective relationships and team working in the Institution.
• Overseeing the organization’s accounting function, including the implementation of accrual basis accounting.
• Ensuring compliance with all local accounting regulations.
• Leading the organization’s risk management activities.
• Monitoring financial performance.
• Managing preparation of budgets, business plans and financial plans to achieve organizational goals.
• Managing funding requirements and liquidity.
• Ensuring cost effective and efficient management of cash and funds.
• Direct and oversee tax filings and reports to authorities, accounting, insurance, banking activities, wires, capital budgets, cash and investment management, purchasing, payroll, insurance, lease agreements, internal controls, risk management, facilities.
• Coordinating relationships with external funders, regulatory and governmental authorities, external auditors, and financial consultants.
• Coaching and developing staff in the Finance Department and in the Risk Department, and implementing KPIs.
• Liaison with internal and external auditors and ensure that their recommendations are implemented.
• Establishing and continuous revision of procurement policies and procedures, and to ensure that they implemented.
• Managing computerized accounting, loan and savings systems.
• Implementing automation and simplification of budgeting, accounting, cash flow management and reporting procedures in head office.
• Implementing automation and simplification of processes in branches, in order to reduce paperwork, redundancies, duplication of data.
• Ensuring reliability and integrity of financial management information systems.
• Support IT upgrades to improve financial and accounting efficiencies, internal controls and risk management.
• Carrying out any other duties as required in assigned areas.
လိုအပ္ေသာအရည္အခ်င္း
• Degree in economics, finance, banking, mathematics or other relevant field with a minimum of five years’ working experience in Microfinance and financial sector.
• At least 5 years management experience at top level in the organization.
• Advanced understanding of financial statements and ratio analysis.
• Ability to examine information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically and independently.
• Skills in project implementation, monitoring and evaluation and report writing (in both English and Myanmar);
• Fluency in written and spoken English, ability to work fluently in both.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (in both English and Myanmar).
• Excellent computer and Microsoft Office (word, excel and PowerPoint) skills
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
