Main duties and responsibilities

• Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and standards to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness throughout the school premises.
• Manage and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, including training,and scheduling.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance, facilities, and administration, to ensure seamless operations.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, and place orders as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the field of housekeeping.
• Prepare reports and presentations on housekeeping activities, including performance metrics and improvement plans.

Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in an educational or hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and train a diverse workforce.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work flexible hours, as required.
