Key Areas of Responsibility;

1. General Quantity Surveying skills such as (but not limited to) assisting in the preparation of detailed cost plans, price comparisons and BoQ preparation.

2. Assist in estimating the project costs including preparing detailed cost plan (3 types) and Bills of Quantities from early design information including budget costs for feasibility studies.

3. Mentor and Managing Junior QS in the preparation of measurement to ensure the accuracy of measurement.

4. Assisting in the procurement / award of Contracts including preparing Requests for Proposals (RFP), Scopes of Works (SoW), bid clarifications, tender questionnaires, tender recommendations, price / cost comparisons, negotiating and drafting Contracts.

5. Assisting in the administration of Contracts, assessing interim payment applications (progress claims), variations / claims and Final Accounts. Collation of site measurement of construction as and when require.

6. Assisting in the preparation of monthly cost report including liaise with project team for am for necessary information.

7. Understanding and applying proactive cost control for projects including transparent and competitive procurement and contractual administration / management processes.

8. Assist the senior QS in building a Cost Data Base including sourcing quotations from domestic and international Suppliers, Consultants and Contractors.

9. Ensure contract/ job information is accurate and up to date in company share drive.

10. Assist the Senior QS in compiling market cost data analysis by sourcing quotation from a list of materials.

• A tertiary-level qualification would be of benefit.
• Experience with FIDIC suite of Contracts and RICS rules of measurement would be of benefit.
• Computer literacy, in particular with MS Excel and MS Word.
