Agence Française de Développement (AFD) – the French Development Agency - is a French public development institution that has been working for more than 70 years to implement French development aid policy in emerging and developing countries as well as in French overseas territories. AFD provides project finance and assistance to central and local governments, non-governmental organizations, banks and financial intermediaries, public entities and private enterprises.
AFD has been active in Myanmar since 2012. AFD current priority sectors in the country are water resource management, sustainable urban development, health and energy.
