We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on, and experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel in Yangon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the property, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage (F&B), and maintenance. You will focus on maintaining high guest satisfaction, maximizing room occupancy, managing operational costs, and leading a dedicated team. Key Responsibilities 1. Daily Operations & Guest Experience Oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house departments to ensure smooth, daily workflows. Maintain a visible presence in the lobby and guest areas, personally showcasing hospitality to the guests and resolving guest complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards across the property meet 3-star hospitality benchmarks. 2. Financial & Cost Management Manage the hotel’s operational budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures (especially regarding energy consumption and local supply sourcing). Collaborate with the sales and reservations team to optimize room rates, drive corporate/local bookings, and manage online travel agency (OTA) profiles (e.g., Agoda, Booking.com). Oversee daily cash flow, billing audits, and financial reporting for the owners. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining accurate financial records. 3. Team Leadership & Training Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate hotel staff to deliver warm, authentic Myanmar hospitality alongside professional service standards. Establish clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all departments and ensure staff adherence. Manage staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and foster a positive, collaborative work environment. 4. Compliance & Local Relations Ensure the hotel complies with all local government regulations, licensing requirements, and health and safety laws. Maintain good relationships with local authorities, community stakeholders, and suppliers. Oversee emergency preparedness plans, including fire safety and back-up power management (generator operations).
