Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition. Oversee accounting activities and ensure that all accounts SOP are implementing well. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Working across the organization to ensure that appropriate financial controls are always adhered to all time, particularly controls around banking, payments, and receipts. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Leading the financial accounting team to deliver high standards of work and behavior, ensuring day-to-day functions including reviewing and authorizing transactions for various purchase and nominal ledgers, payroll, income, and reconciliation are performed well, within financial controls and to deadline. Preparing month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements. Working with a variety of internal stakeholders to support individual business areas set and achieve goals and targets. Recommending changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performance. Improving documentation of policies and procedures to enhance the quality of financial reporting. Research technical accounting issues for compliance Collaborate with an executive team to establish more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of a company’s ledger. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Ensure that an organization meets the necessary tax, permit and licensing requirements. Provide external auditors with the necessary documentation and support. Take care of tax preparation duties or collaborate with external tax accountants for tax preparation. Developing plans for financial growth. Research and utilize updated technologies to improve account’s function. Responsible for their own upskilling, as well as recommending upskilling for others in the finance department, particularly junior staff
