Myanmar Women’s Self Defense Center has been teaching self defense classes for women in Myanmar since 2016. We teach self defense, law, and sexuality to individual women, and conduct sexual harassment trainings for corporations and NGOs. We also have a robust Teacher Training Program to help women become self defense trainers themselves.

Basically, our idea is that “self-defense” is not just martial arts -- it’s also understanding your sexual, legal, and workplace rights; and it’s being able to stand up for people around you who are being exploited or abused.

We are developing an online self defense curriculum that will reach women all over Myanmar who otherwise would not be able to attend our physical classes.
