Ascend International School is seeking 3 Assistant Teachers to provide effective academic and classroom support to students enrolled in the O-Level, A-Level, and OSSD Programs. The successful candidates will work closely with Subject Teachers, Lead Teachers, and the Academic Team to support students’ learning and day-to-day academic activities. Job Description (JD) – Duties & Responsibilities Support Subject Teachers / Lead Teachers in the effective delivery of teaching and learning activities. Assist O-Level, A-Level, and OSSD students with academic learning and classroom activities as required. Support students with assignments, coursework, classwork, and learning activities under the guidance and direction of teachers. Monitor students’ academic progress and classroom participation, and communicate relevant observations or concerns to the appropriate teachers. Assist in preparing lesson materials, learning resources, and classroom materials. Support students in developing independent learning skills, study skills, and effective time management. Help maintain a well-organized, safe, and supportive classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Assist students with their questions and academic support needs under the guidance of the relevant teacher. Provide support during examination preparation, mock examinations, assessments, and other academic activities as required. Understand and adhere to the requirements of the O-Level, A-Level, and OSSD Programs, as well as principles of academic integrity. Follow the school’s policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards at all times. Work collaboratively and effectively with Teachers, the Academic Team, and School Management. Participate in and provide support for school events and other academic and co-curricular activities as required.
