Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balance. Assist to produce accurate financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet) for management, group reporting, and regulatory bodies. Maintain fixed assets and ensure all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. Analyze financial data, and expenses to identify trends, provide commentary Vendor Reconciliations & ensure accuracy for both external and inter-co vendors. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and IFRS. Assist with internal and external audits, including preparing schedules and documentation for auditors.
Position Purpose Wave Money is undergoing a technology transformation across the IT stack and needs an experienced database engineer to build and maintain multiple Oracle RAC clusters, other DBMS clusters such as Postgres and MySQL and reporting/business intelligence tools such as Statistic. Key Results Areas Delivery of new database design/architecture that will scale to Wave Money’s needs in the future. Implementation of the core Mobile Financial Services database using best practices. Implementation of load testing and failover testing plans across all DBMS platforms prior to go-live. Successfully complete migration activities to cutover to new IT stack/DBMS. Achieve KPIs and perform ongoing tuning of tables, indexes, and queries to achieve highest performance. Exhibit positive engagement with IT and Business stakeholders Exhibit strong leadership and a can-do, positive attitude Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company's Oracle database. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves Oracle database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing and production usage. Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases and performs ongoing tuning of the database instances. Install new versions of the Oracle RDBMS and its tools and any other tools that access the Oracle database. Plans and implements backup and recovery of the Oracle database Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Databases. Enforces and maintains database contraints to ensure integrity of the database. Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes and views Troubleshoots with problems regarding the databases, applications and development tools. The DBA should posses the following skills: A good knowledge of the operating system(s) A good knowledge of physical database design Ability to perform both Oracle and also operating system performance monitoring and the necessary adjustments. Be able to provide a strategic database direction for the organisation. Excellent knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios. Good skills in all Oracle tools.
