A Data Analyst, or Business Intelligence Specialist, is responsible for managing data retrieval and analysis within an organization. Their duties include organizing data points, communicating between upper management, the operations department and the IT department and analyzing data to determine a corporation’s needs.

• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into business requirements.
• Perform functional analysis and data modeling.
• Identify and analyze relevant data sources.
• Create reports and dashboards (data viz).
• Perform/coordinate user acceptance testing and training
• Oversee/manage overall project delivery cycle.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Economics, etc.
• Relevant experience, between 2 – 5 years, in business intelligence, descriptive and exploratory data analysis and data visualization, across the entire project delivery lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling approaches.
• Knowledge of some banking and/or insurance industry data models is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of, and hands-on experience with some of the following BI tools: Tableau, Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects, SAS.
• Experienced in using relational databases, SQL, and capable to design and prototype data blending workflows.
• Excellent communication, presentation and business and technical writing skills.
• Proficient in English.
