VDB Loi is currently seeking translator to join its rapidly expanding and dynamic firm in Myanmar: www.vdb-loi.com

The position is based in the Yangon office and is an office based fulltime position.

Key Responsibilities

·      Translate a wide range of legal and corporate documents from Myanmar to English and from English to Myanmar, including contracts, laws, regulations, court documents, corporate records, Articles of Incorporation, board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, and other legal materials.

·      Ensure translated documents accurately reflect the original meaning, legal terminology, tone, and context.

·      Proofread and review translations for grammatical accuracy, consistency, formatting, and legal correctness before final submission.

·      Conduct legal research on laws, regulations, legal concepts, and jurisdiction-specific terminology to support translation and legal advisory work.

·      Monitor, collect, summarize, and translate legal and regulatory updates from official sources and prepare periodic legal update reports.

·      Manage multiple assignments simultaneously and deliver high-quality work within established deadlines.

Requirements:

• A degree in any discipline, preferably with an English major or an overseas qualification 
• Experience in translating legal, corporate, contractual, or regulatory documents is preferred
• Strong proficiency in both Myanmar and English, with excellent translation, proofreading, and communication skills
• Ability to work to deadline
