Key Responsibilities

Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise installation of Mechanical and Electrical systems including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical power, lighting, ELV, and other MEP services.
• Ensure works are executed as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and specifications.
• Coordinate daily site activities with subcontractors and labor teams.
• Monitor progress and report daily/weekly site status to the Project Manager.

Coordination & Interface

• Coordinate M&E works with civil, architectural, and other trades to avoid clashes.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and inspectors for inspections and approvals.
• Attend site meetings and technical coordination meetings.

Quality Control

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, project specifications, and local authority regulations.
• Conduct inspections and tests for M&E installations.
• Raise and close NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) where required.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Ensure all M&E works comply with site safety rules and HSE regulations.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Identify and report potential hazards on site.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain daily site reports, inspection requests (IRs), and material inspection requests (MIRs).
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals.
• Verify quantities for progress claims and variations.

Testing & Commissioning

• Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers and commissioning teams.
• Ensure systems are functional and handed over as per contract requirements.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Building Services Engineering
    (or equivalent)
  • 3–8 years of relevant experience in M&E works on construction projects.
  • Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Site-based experience is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, firefighting).
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Familiar with testing & commissioning procedures.
  • Knowledge of local authority codes and standards (NFPA, IEC, BS, ASHRAE, etc)
