The Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects in accordance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, and project timelines.

This role ensures effective coordination among clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams while maintaining quality standards, safety compliance, and cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Coordination & Management

• Plan, organize, and execute project activities in a professional, safe, and cost-effective manner.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers for project execution and technical matters.
• Attend and actively participate in coordination, progress, and safety meetings.
• Monitor site progress and ensure alignment with project schedule.
• Manage manpower allocation and optimize workforce productivity.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.

Technical & Documentation Management

• Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare and submit shop drawings for consultant/Main Contractor approval.
• Develop and submit Method of Statements (MOS), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Risk Assessments (RA).
• Maintain proper documentation including:

1. Material Orders (MO)
2. Delivery Orders (DO)
3. Material Inspection Requests (MIR)
4. Installation Inspection Requests (IIR)
5. Shop Drawings and As-built Drawings
6. Safety Documentation
7. Engineering Instructions (EI) / Site Instructions (SI)

Material & Procurement Coordination

• Review material specifications and submit for consultant/Main Contractor approval.
• Prepare and manage M&E Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material requisitions.
• Coordinate with procurement and suppliers for timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Ensure delivered materials comply with approved specifications and are properly stored on site.
• Plan and allocate material usage effectively to minimize wastage.

3.4 Quality & Site Control

• Ensure all installation works meet required quality standards and specifications.
• Implement and maintain quality management systems on site.
• Monitor workmanship and enforce corrective actions where necessary.
• Continuously identify and implement improvement opportunities in site execution.

Cost & Resource Management

• Monitor material usage and control wastage in coordination with Project Engineers.
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Support cost control measures to maintain project budget compliance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in construction or MEP projects (APM may require 3–5 years).
• Strong knowledge of project management, site execution, and construction processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Experience in MEP project management.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and industry standards.
• Knowledge of quality management and safety compliance systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
