About the Role
The Warehouse Manager (or) Assistant Warehouse Manager oversees daily warehouse workflows, inventory control, and facility logistics at GBC’s central distribution warehouse in Hlaing Thar Yar. This role is responsible for maintaining storage space optimization, supervising labor teams, coordinating inbound container receiving and outbound dispatches, and enforcing strict inventory accuracy and loss mitigation standards.
Job Description

Direct and supervise end-to-end warehouse workflows for fertilizers, crop protection chemicals, and repacking materials, including receiving, systematic storage, line packaging, and order dispatch.

Manage daily warehouse space utilization, stacking arrangements, and facility layouts to ensure operational safety, chemical compatibility, and fast cargo accessibility.

Coordinate closely with the Procurement Department (Planning) on inbound sea container schedules and border shipments to prepare staging areas prior to cargo arrival.

Source, allocate and supervise external labor gangs for container unloading, truck loading, and repacking operations while managing daily labor efficiency.

Maintain inventory and operational readiness of all repacking materials and equipment, including bags, stitching thread, sewing machines, weighing scales, and material-handling tools.

Enforce strict stock accountability across all storage zones, taking direct responsibility for physical inventory accuracy, discrepancy resolution and damage prevention.

Implement corrective action plans and process adjustments resulting from routine stock audits conducted by the Corporate Inventory Control Division.

Conduct standard warehouse SOP, material handling, and chemical safety briefings for all on-site warehouse staff and operational personnel.
