We are looking for Accountant (Compensation and Benefit) with one of the HR Consulting Companies in Yangon, Myanmar.

The position will report to the Payroll Accounting Manager and indirectly to the General Manager of Myanmar Operations.

This role is responsible for payroll preparation, personal income tax computation, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll reports for multiple clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end payroll process for assigned projects
• Calculation and processing of Salaries, PIT, Overtime, Merit Increment, and the deductions
• Ensure compliance with the company policies, as well as local tax regulations
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
• Communicate and corporate with internal cross-functional teams
• Coordinate with HRIS Manager to ensure accurate employee data for payroll processing
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and benefit information

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll accounting or a related role
• Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
• Strong knowledge of Local regulations especially related to Personal Income Tax 
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
• Able to works under pressure and meets deadlines   
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
