Actuarial Modeling and Analysis:

• Oversee the development and maintenance of actuarial models and tools.
• Analyze and interpret complex data to assess risks, determine reserves, and evaluate financial outcomes.
• Conduct scenario analyses, stress testing, and sensitivity analysis to evaluate potential impacts on the organization.

Product pricing:

• Prepare and run the actuarial pricing model for new and repriced products, generating profitability results and producing financial analysis
• Supervise and review the work of junior staff e.g. pricing work and regulatory filing
• Prepare and review profit analysis/monitoring reports and identify innovative approaches to improve product profitability

Financial Forecasting and Reporting:

• Lead the preparation of actuarial reports and presentations for management and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial forecasts and reporting.
• Monitor and analyze industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks that may impact the organization.
• Provide insights and recommendations on product pricing, reserving, and risk management.
• Collaborate with senior management to define long-term financial goals and risk tolerance.

Risk Management and Compliance:

• Assess and manage risks associated with insurance products, investments, and business operations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and actuarial standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address regulatory inquiries and audits.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

• Partner with cross-functional teams, such as underwriting, marketing, and product development, to support business initiatives.
• Engage with senior management and present actuarial findings, recommendations, and insights.
• Foster strong relationships with external partners, including reinsurers, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in the actuarial field, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of actuarial principles, insurance products, and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in actuarial software and advanced Excel modeling.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
