As a Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the finance department of the organization. You will work closely with the accountants and finance managers to ensure that financial transactions are accurately recorded, invoices are processed, and payments are made in a timely manner. Your duties will include:

1. Lead the effort to make sure that our processes and controls are in compliance with Myanmar Legislation and Global Accounting Procedures

2. Assure compliance to internal/external financial reporting and local tax legislation requirements correctness of primary documents and timely communicate current tax and accounting status and potential risks

3. Work closely to provide input and updates on changes in tax and accounting statutory legislation

4. Ensure accurate and in-timely report creating for Tax Authorities, Social Funds and Statistics covering corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, review of all reports and tax returns prepared by local accounting team and filing of reports and tax returns, staying up to date with current changing Myanmar tax legislation

5. Manage the team of direct reports, provide support and expertise to maintain high professional level of accounting team

Local accounting of Fixed Assets

6. Participate in Month end/year end processes including the preparation of journals and validation of balance sheet accounts and production of monthly financial statement

Chief Accountant Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing
• Quickbooks ProAdvisor certification required
• Minimum 3 years' experience in management
• Minimum 7 years' experience as a CPA in a corporate setting
• Extensive corporate and personal tax experience
• Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
• Expertise working with Quickbooks and financial statements
• Consistent, accurate, and thorough with an eye for details
• Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbers
