Key Responsibilities / Job Scope
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the bank’s long-term business plan.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board.
Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process across the bank.
Guide decisions related to pricing, branch financial performance, and new product viability.
2. Regulatory & Compliance Management
Ensure full compliance with Central Bank regulations, IFRS, Basel guidelines, and banking laws.
Oversee regulatory reporting, including quarterly/annual submissions, capital adequacy ratios, and liquidity ratios.
Liaise with regulators, external auditors, and internal audit on all financial matters.
Maintain documentation and readiness for regulatory inspections.
3. Financial Reporting & Controls
Ensure timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS and banking requirements.
Maintain strong internal control frameworks to safeguard bank assets.
Develop and enforce financial policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Oversee general ledger accuracy, reconciliations, and accounting records.
4. Technology, Systems & Digital Finance
Drive digital transformation in finance systems, core banking integration, and automation.
Ensure data integrity and cybersecurity for financial systems.
Lead implementation of financial analytics and BI dashboards for decision-making.
