As the Chief People Officer (CPO) in the Telecom industry, you will be responsible for leading the Human Resources function and driving the overall people strategy to support the company's mission, vision, and business objectives. You will play a crucial role in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and high performance. Reporting directly to the Executive Chairman, you will serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership and work closely with department heads to ensure alignment of HR initiatives with organizational goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy aligned with the company's strategic objectives, focusing on talent acquisition, development, engagement, and retention.
  • Lead talent acquisition efforts, including workforce planning, recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract top talent and build a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Oversee employee development programs, including training, leadership development, and career planning initiatives to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems and processes to drive accountability, recognize achievements, and support employee development and career progression.
  • Employee Engagement: Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and morale, including employee feedback mechanisms, recognition programs, and initiatives to promote work-life balance.
  • Champion the company's culture and values, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment where employees feel valued and empowered.
  • Lead efforts related to organizational design, restructuring, and change management initiatives to support business growth and optimize organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards while promoting fairness, equity, and transparency.
  • Leverage HR technology and analytics to drive data-driven decision-making, optimize HR processes, and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or relevant HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing HR functions in the telecommunications industry or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of the telecommunications industry, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, and emerging trends impacting talent management and HR practices.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing HR strategies that align with business objectives, drive organizational performance, and support cultural transformation.
  • Strong expertise in talent acquisition, employee development, succession planning, and performance management practices to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
  • Demonstrated experience leading organizational change initiatives, driving cultural transformation, and managing resistance to change effectively.
  • Sound knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices related to employee relations, labor relations, and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze complex issues, anticipate future trends, and develop innovative solutions to drive business results.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to fostering a culture of fairness, diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.
