Purpose of the Position

• Quality control and Quality assurance of Product and Process by analysing, controlling, troubleshooting from raw to finished product throughout the various process of production
• Improve customer satisfaction by performing surveys, handling customer complaints and taking proactive action

Responsibility

Perform the physical/ chemical analysis accurately to provide reliable and consistent result.

• Perform evaluation and analysis to conform to sampling plan and update the plan to cover throughout the production.
• Follow the analysis procedure accurately in compliance with Heineken laboratory standards
• Ensure timely analysis and reporting to ensure no delays to production
• Practice proper recording and filing. Maintain laboratory information systems
• Inform Senior Lab Analyst immediately for abnormal results/ out of specification

Maintain the Physical/ Chemical laboratory to a professional standard.

• Keep clean and tidy of testing equipment and facilities.
• Strictly follow calibration and maintenance schedules and update as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory best practices.
• Review and update SOP, work instruction and specification
• Execute regular stock check and maintain lab reagent and consumable item at optimum stock. Assist in purchasing of these item

Drive Quality Improvement at Heineken Myanmar Brewery.

• Provide suggestion and support to improvement teams to improve Quality of product/ process
• Document, communicate and monitor process changes to improve in plant microbiological control.(If being assigned as Microbiologist)
• Analyse and follow the trend of results/data and initiate appropriate action
• Execute specific improvement projects applying TPM tools
• Understand TPM fundamentals and able to use Digital Tools

Assist development of Brewing and Packaging Staff with respect to process/ microbiological control and basic hygiene.

• Participate in brewing and packaging performance discussions with respect to QC/QA
• Facilitates Formal Problem Solving & decision making, provide technical expertise and documents the process and results
• Coach staff in quality concept and food safety

Ensure a safe working environment and practices within the different requirements.

• Follow safe laboratory practices including safe chemical handling and storage.
• Practice safe disposal of waste chemicals
• Ensure personal protective equipment is used and maintained in good working condition.
• Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance to SHE standards.

Ensure lab activities comply with Requirements of Lab Star System

• Implement technical and managerial aspects as required by Lab star system
• Maintain the standard of the Laboratory by following the rules of Lab Star systems

To ensure compliance with the Operational Standards/ System of the Company
(ISO/ HACCP/ Food Safety/ Laboratory Star System/ etc.).

• Follow rules, requirements, and procedures of operating systems.
• Participate in System/Standard upgrading and new Standard/ System implementation

Education & Other Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Bio Chemistry

Experience & Knowledge

• Knowledge of Analytical Chemistry
• Professional experience as a Laboratory Analyst is preferred but not mandatory
• Intermediate computer literacy of Microsoft software applications

Language

• Burmese/Myanmar Language and English
• A good verbal and written communication skill to convey detailed information
