Key Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with the planning and delivery of lessons.
• Support pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
• Supervise children during lessons, playtime, lunchtime, and school trips.
• Promote positive behaviour and help manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Assist with marking and record-keeping under teacher guidance.
• Provide support for children with additional learning needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment.
• Encourage children to interact and work cooperatively with others.
• Support emotional, social, and physical development of children.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of high school education; certificate or diploma in education or child development is preferred.
• Prior experience working with children is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
