ONOW Myanmar is a leading social enterprise in Myanmar. Join ONOW in the development of innovative and exciting training, coaching and education programs. The Program Assistant will work with the Program Coordinator to deliver the STARTUP Entrepreneurship Training Program. Subject areas include: Financial Capabilities, Small and Growing Business, and Digital Literacy.

The candidate should be passionate about the economic and social empowerment of Myanmar people through technology, training and coaching.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions

The program assistant will learn ONOW tools and methods for entrepreneur support in the STARTUP Program. This position will support and assist the Program Coordinator in recruiting, marketing, business coaching, training program and planning. The Program Assistant will work directly with small business owners. 

 

  • Program logistics and planning

  • Data collection and management

  • Training assistance and delivery

  • Field visits

  • Facilitate Peer Group Meetings

  • Report preparation

  • Phone-based coaching calls and Scheduling

  • Support to other Special Projects

    PERFORM OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS NECESSARY

     

    Qualifications

  • Proficient in both Sgaw Karen and Burmese (both written and spoken) 

  • Bachelor Degree

  • Willing to travel

  • Willing to work Saturdays or Sundays

  • Interested to work for community development 

  • Experience in community development projects

  • Experience in helping micro and small businesses (optional)
