RESPONSIBILITIES
• Be responsible to develop and mentor a team of seed quality assurance staff that are collectively focused on ensuring field seed produced and seed processing meets the MAFSCO standard.
• Develop a quality assurance system that covers both field seed production and procedures in the processing plant. The system will cover and ensure that
o Quality management is maintained as a top priority for the company
o Implement work plans and procedures to maximize performance, operational efficiency and achieve company goals.
o Control and monitor sampling and quality inspection during production, processing, and shipping to meet established standards
o Lead a QA team and related staff in the lab, growout field, and processing plant to ensure that quality standards are met
o Test, verify, and monitor the quality, weight, and appearance of seed inventories
o Prepare regular reports summarizing QA testing results and proposed actions for follow up
o Investigate, manage, and propose solutions to problems and complaints related to seed quality
o Research and proposed new technologies and systems to improve quality
o Control expenses, in accordance with the approved annual budget
o Develop systems that regularly monitor field production.
• The QA manager will have final responsibility over quality issues
• Ensure that tools and equipment used by QA are properly calibrated, operated, and maintained
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Myanmar national, male or female
• BS or MS in agronomy, plant breeding, seed technology, or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience
• Detail oriented
• Decisive and firm, with primary orientation to maintaining high quality standards
• Strong ability to manage people and complex situations
• Strong computer and data management skills (MS Office)
• Good English skills (speaking, reading, writing)
• Driving proficiency with valid driver’s license
• Able to base in Mandalay area, with occasional travel to other provinces

Relevant Industry Experience (Location of potential applicants)
• Quality testing experience.
• Experience in develop and implementing standard operating systems
• Laboratory experience where stringent quality testing is essential
