• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data for internal and external stakeholders, including audits and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor financial trends and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Develop and manage annual budgets for departments within the company, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
• Collaborate with department heads to track financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Provide accurate forecasting and trend analysis to aid strategic decision-making.
Accounts Management:
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring payments are processed on time and accurate records are kept.
• Manage cash flow, ensuring the company’s liquidity remains optimal for daily operations.
• Supervise the reconciliation of all accounts, including bank accounts, vendor invoices, and client payments.
Tax Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns (corporate tax, VAT, etc.) and ensure compliance with local, state, and international tax laws.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to the company, advising senior management on strategies to manage those risks.
• Work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and address any audit queries.
Team Leadership and Development:
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
• Set clear expectations for team performance, ensuring that the accounting team meets deadlines and company standards.
• Ensure the team is up to date with industry best practices, accounting software, and relevant regulations.
Operational Support:
• Collaborate with the Sales & Operations teams to support financial aspects of travel packages, ensuring accurate pricing and profitability analysis.
• Assist in reviewing and approving vendor contracts, ensuring favorable terms for the company’s financial health.
• Support management in any ad-hoc financial analysis or project-related financial tracking.
Continuous Improvement:
• Lead efforts to improve accounting processes, introducing automation or more efficient systems where necessary.
• Ensure the company follows best practices for financial management and stays compliant with international travel industry regulations.
